30-Day Challenge - Day 11: Family

I have a pretty complex family. I have more siblings than most of my friends, but I’m also the one most like an only child. I have four older brothers and an older sister. I used to have a little brother, but he died when we were both really young; I was four, he was three. Read the only post I’ve mentioned him in here.

My mother has two kids, and my father has five. Altogether they have six. Lol, it doesn’t make mathematical sense, unless you realize that together they have one. Yours truly.

This is the simple version. The complex version would involve me talking too much. About my father’s late wife (mother of 3 of my older brothers and my sister) and maybe even a bit about my mother’s ex-husband, but I don’t think I know enough to share. I’m a pension baby, been called that forever, which means my parents had me laaate. Makes sense when you think about it, because though they each had their own kids when they got married, they wanted one together. Well, two, but they got one.

My older siblings (dad’s kids) are pretty close to each other, and since my sister is the oldest, my brothers do see her as a mother figure because their mother died when they were pretty young. They are close to my mother though… they call her mummy. Not Aunty Mary-Yvonne or anything like that, hallelujah.

The most interesting fact about my family, which makes it’s complexity almost undetectable is the fact that both men my mother married had the same last name. No relation lol. So all of us have the same last name. You’d have to be told that we have different parents, which I guess works great lol

You know what…whose idea was it to have this on the list of questions… these 30-Day people paa
