This documentary is hilarious but not really, lol. I’m not really going to delve too deeply into how it makes me feel about today’s man. I don’t want to generalize though, it’s not all of them. Some men try to act like they are soo down to earth; try to act like when they go out, they only stop to look at women in sweats and no makeup on- yea sure, if he’s been with you a while and he knows you look good, he’s happy to see you like that, but I’m not sure if he can say as much for meeting you for the first time…
ANYWAY, I’m not gonna lie, I definitely notice a difference in willingness to do favors for me and it’s almost a direct function of how rough I look that day haha. It’s actually disheartening how many men can be suckers for big boobs and a smile. Some of y’all can be downright basic… and it permeates every single level of society.
I think the biggest favor I’ve received because a man was flirting with me definitely has to be entering the US without my student visa document (I-20). Yup. I’ll have to put that at the top of the list. I knew I was going to have issues at JFK because I forgot the damn piece of paper and I was trying to help my situation as much as possible. I definitely brushed my teeth after that 11 hr flight, removed my eye crust, combed my hair nicely and changed from my comfy flipflops into my heels.
Tell me why this man just asked me a couple of questions about Ghana, asked me when I’d be in New York again to “hang out”, slipped me his number on a tiny piece of paper and then stamped my damn passport! I was sooo shocked. Immigration office? The United States of America? I should have spent at least an hour in the waiting room alone. I was never supposed to be out in ten minutes with enough time to check in and then catch my connection. Needless to say, it opened my eyes to the harsh realities of life. Penis over brain? One bad egg out of the lot? I don’t know, I never called him.
